On every Ardra Nakshatra, an auspicious and highly revered Abhishekam is performed to Lord Sri Ekambareswara in the early hours at 5:00 AM, creating a serene and divine atmosphere within the temple.
The ritual begins with sacred Vedic chants, followed by Abhishekam using Panchamrutam—milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar—along with other holy offerings. This sacred bathing is believed to purify the surroundings and invoke the divine grace of Lord Shiva.
The pooja continues with the special Anna Abhishekam, symbolizing abundance and devotion, after which the deity is beautifully adorned with flowers and ornaments through Alankarana. The entire temple resonates with devotion, peace, and positive energy during these rituals.
Ardra Nakshatra holds great spiritual significance for worshipping Lord Shiva, and devotees believe that participating in this pooja helps cleanse negative energies, brings inner peace, and grants blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
Devotees are encouraged to take part in this sacred occasion and can also sponsor the pooja to seek divine blessings for themselves and their families.
