Mahashivaratri Abhishekam - Sri Sri Sri Maha Ganapathi - Kamakshi - Ekambareswara Temple

Monthly Poojas

On the 10th of every month, on the sacred occasion of Mahashivaratri, a grand and spiritually uplifting Abhishekam is performed to Lord Sri Ekambareswara at 9:00 AM with great devotion and traditional Vedic rituals.

The pooja begins with sacred chants and offerings, followed by Abhishekam using holy substances such as milk, water, and Panchamrutam. This is followed by the unique and divine Anna Abhishekam, where cooked rice is offered to the Lord as a symbol of gratitude and abundance. The deity is then beautifully adorned with flowers and ornaments through Alankarana, creating a divine and serene atmosphere in the temple. The rituals conclude with Mangala Harathi, filling the surroundings with spiritual energy and devotion.

At 12:00 noon, Annadanam (distribution of food) is organized for approximately 150 devotees, reflecting the sacred tradition of sharing and service. Participating in Annadanam is considered highly meritorious and brings immense blessings.

Masashivaratri is regarded as a highly auspicious day to worship Lord Shiva, and devotees believe that participating in this pooja helps remove negative energies, grants peace of mind, and fulfills heartfelt wishes.

Devotees are welcome to sponsor this pooja on special occasions such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or in loving memory of their family members, seeking divine blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
