On every Sankatahara Chaturthi, a sacred and powerful Abhishekam is performed to Lord Maha Ganapati using Panchamrutam (milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar), along with other holy offerings.
The pooja begins with Ganapati Dhyanam and Vedic chants, followed by Abhishekam, Alankarana (decoration with flowers and garlands), and Archana with the chanting of divine names. The rituals conclude with Mangala Harathi, filling the temple with a deeply spiritual and peaceful atmosphere.
Sankatahara Chaturthi is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles (Vighna Vinayaka). Devotees believe that participating in this pooja helps overcome difficulties, removes negative influences, and brings success, prosperity, and wisdom into their lives.
Many devotees observe fasting and offer prayers on this day, seeking blessings for personal growth, career success, family well-being, and fulfillment of wishes.
Devotees can also sponsor this pooja on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or as a prayer for overcoming challenges and achieving goals.
This pooja is especially performed to remove obstacles, bring success, and bless devotees with prosperity and wisdom.
